Blueberry Blood and Bubblegum Joints (2023)
In April 2023 I was commissioned by Unlimited and Doorstep Arts in association with Touretteshero (as a part of the Collaborative Touring Network) to create the film Blueberry Blood and Bubblegum Joints. The film is a modern folktale film set on the coast, the film tells the story of a shielder who creates a companion out of everyday objects; exploring themes of invisibility, isolation, resilience, community and disability pride.
***Blueberry Blood and Bubblegum Joints is adapted from a short story I wrote, originally had published in @drawnpoorlyzine issue 7 , the short story was titled Blueberry Blood and Bubblegum Veins and as I am dyslexic I often accidentally revert to the original title, which you will notice throughout showings and promo materials.***
Below there are stills from the film.

The film premiered on Wednesday 21st June 7:00pm at the Riviera International Centre as a part of the Torbay showing of Touretteshero’s play Burnt Out in Biscuit Land. Alongside the film I exhibited paintings and paper sculptures that were either used in the film or related to it. Read Doorstep Arts blog about the event here.
